Admission Schedule (UG)
(For the Session 2014-2015)

• Admission to B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. General and Honours course will be made on the basis of marks/ grade obtained by the candidate at the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by affiliated University and other criteria as stated by the institution.
• Separate application forms must be submitted for separate combination codes.
• Admission BE MADE STRICTLY ON THE BASIS OF MERIT.
• Students seeking admission are required to pass at least four subjects including one language and excluding Environmental Science/ Studies , being each paper of at least 100 marks. Merit list will be prepared by considering the aggregate / best Four as well as the relevant subject(s) (The mechanism may be revised as per university guideline).
• ADMISSION IN ALL HONOURS SUBJECTS WILL BE MADE THROUGH COUNSELLING PROCESS. If any candidate fails to attain counselling, his/her right for admission will be forfeited.
• No candidate will be allowed to take up a subject if he/she could not obtain PASS MARK in the said subject at the previous qualifying examination.
• Applicants are directed to submit separate application forms for different HONOURS subjects & different combinations e.g. English (Hons.), Bengali (Hons.), B.A. (General) etc. They must put tick (√) marks in the box against proper category.
• Eligibility for admission to 1st year classes - Passed in H.S. or equivalent examinations.
• APPLICATION FORM will be issued to S.C. and S.T. Candidates who have passed in the previous qualifying examination and fulfilling University minimum requirement. Admission in Reserved seats will be allowed as per Govt. Rules & only on the basis of submission of original certificate (SC/ST).[SC – 22%, ST – 6%, PH – 3%] (OBC as per Govt. order, if recommended)
• Claim for Admission will be forfeited after the date of expiry of the Admission / Merit list.
• Application form will be received without verification. If any fault is detected at the time of verification the form will be rejected.
• Applicants are directed to read the admission rules thoroughly, to maintain the minimum requirement for a particular admission.
• As soon as the applicant is notified (through counselling) that admission has been offered to him/her, the full fees should be payable. Until such payment is made or allowed by the Principal to be deferred, the offer of admission is liable to be cancelled.
• All admissions are valid only for a year, and are therefore to be renewed for each subsequent year of study. If any student does not continue for consecutive two weeks, his/her admission will be considered as cancel.

For B.A. & B.Sc.(Hons., General & Major ) courses of studies a candidate is to choose his/her Honours and two/ three elective subjects as the case may be, from among Group I to VIII by taking not more than one subject from any of the groups mentioned hereunder (Marked with Blue Colour for this college) :

Submission of Documents at the time of admission:

• Original & Photocopy of Migration Certificate (during admission), (for migrating students only).
• Photocopy of H. S. or equivalent, Mark sheet & also Admit Card for Migrating students.
• Four copies of Stamp-size photograph.
• Photocopy of Caste/handicapped certificate (if any) duly attested
• Other requirement as per University guidline.
• Duly signed Acknowledgement Slip.
